SYMPTOMS
After you install Microsoft iSCSI Software Initiator on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003, the WMI Performance Adapter process (Wmiapsrv.exe) may exhaust all available CPU resources. On a single-processor system, CPU utilization may reach 100 percent.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, apply the hotfix that is described in this article. Additionally, you must apply the hotfix that is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
