SYMPTOMS

When you run an application in a remote desktop session to a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer, the application window may not be drawn correctly. For example, a blinking pointer is incorrectly drawn as a solid pointer.

Note This problem does not occur when you run the application in a remote desktop session to a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based or a Window Vista-based computer.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the bitmap cache cannot distinguish between two different bitmaps. Therefore, the request that is used to draw one of the two bitmaps may incorrectly draw the other bitmap.
