The title bar does not display the name or the caption of the current object when Access 2007 is set to SDI mode

Article ID: 924742

Article Last Modified on 10/15/2007

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Office Access 2007

SYMPTOMS

You set the Document Window Options option to Overlapping Windows (MDI mode) in Microsoft Office Access 2007. You then open an object with the window maximized. When you do this, the Access 2007 title bar displays the name or the caption of the current object that you have maximized.

Note This is the same behavior that you saw in Microsoft Office Access 2003.

However, when you set the Document Window Options option to Tabbed Documents (SDI mode) in Access 2007, the Access 2007 title bar does not display the name or the caption of the current object when the object window is maximized. Instead, the title bar displays the following text:

DatabaseName : Database (Access 2007Version) - Microsoft Access

Note You see this text in the title bar only when you use MDI mode before you open any database objects.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
