You experience problems with files that are attached to an Information Rights Management (IRM) form in InfoPath 2007

You may experience one or more of the following symptoms in Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007:

You have the copy permission together with the read permission on an Information Rights Management (IRM)-protected form. However, you cannot copy the contents of a file attachment from one location to another because the Copy option is not enabled.
If you use the InfoPath 2007 mail functionality to send an IRM-protected form, any files that are attached to the form will not be attached to the mail message. However, when you send a form that is not protected by IRM, the attachments of the form are attached to the mail message and the form.
You have the read permission on an IRM-protected form. However, you cannot view the attached file.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
