This article describes the controls and the functions of the Microsoft Presenter 3000.

You can use the Presenter 3000 to move through a Microsoft PowerPoint slide show. The Presenter 3000 has a Mouse mode and a Presentation mode. It also includes a laser pointer and a timer.

The Presenter 3000 has the following controls and functions:

  • On the right side of the Presenter 3000, move the power switch up to turn the presenter on. Move the switch down to turn the presenter off.
  • On the left side of the Presenter 3000, move the switch up to use Mouse mode. Move the switch down to use Presentation mode.
  • When the Presenter 3000 is in Mouse mode, the four arrows on the directional pad control the mouse pointer movement. Also, the left and right arrows under the timer display perform the functions of the left and right mouse buttons.
  • When the Presenter 3000 is in Presentation mode, the center button turns the laser pointer on and off. Also, the left and right arrows move the PowerPoint slides backward or forward respectively.


Note The laser pointer functions only when the Presenter 3000 is in Presentation mode.
