INTRODUCTION
This article describes how to publish your project plan from an earlier version of Microsoft Project, such as Microsoft Office Project 2003, to a server that is running Microsoft Office Project Server 2007.

The following steps describe how to publish a project plan from an earlier version of Project.
Note These steps assume that you will import an *.mpp file in a 2000, 2002, or 2003 file format. These steps also assume that the plan has accurate and up-to-date data that is ready to be imported into Project Server 2007.
- On the Tools menu, point to Enterprise Options, and then click Import Project to the Enterprise.
- In the Open dialog box, select the project that you want to import, and then click Open.
- In the left pane, click Map Resources.
- In the Map Project Resources onto Enterprise Resources dialog box, verify your resources, and then click OK.
- In the left pane, click Continue to Step 2.
- If you want to change a resource, you can double-click the resource, and then make the changes. When you have validated the resources, click Validate Resources, and then click Continue to Step 3 in the left pane.
- Click Map Task Fields.
- In the Map Custom Fields dialog box, select your fields if you have fields to map, and then click OK.
- In the left pane, click Continue to Step 4.
- To change tasks or to correct errors, you can double-click the task, and then make the changes that you want. In in the left pane, click Continue to Step 4.
- In the left pane, click Save As.
- In the Save to Project Server dialog box, type a name for your project in the Name box, and then click Save.
