SYMPTOMS

You use a Microsoft Windows-based client computer to establish a Remote Desktop connection to a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer. When you log on to the Windows XP-based computer from the client computer, the session uses the locale and the keyboard layout that is used by the client computer.

If you modify the IgnoreRemoteKeyboardLayout registry entry to make the session use the locale and the keyboard layout that are in the user profile on the Windows XP-based computer, the entry does not work.
