SYMPTOMS

Active Sync not working on Devices specially with Cingular Wireless after installing Exchange 2003 SP2 Error on Device: 0x80830003
Issue noticed when : THERE IS NO SSL enabled.

  • This may be with other Wireless Networks too, but was noticed on Devices using Cingular Wireless
  • Customer cliamed that it all happened after Exchange SP2 installation; but that seems to be driven by Network Provider
  • No SSL on Exchange


RESOLUTION

Changing the Networks to ‘My ISP” in the Device resolved the issue

=>Verify the ISP Provider on Device & change it to "My ISP" with steps as:
=>On Device: Start--Settings--Connections--Connections --Advanced--Select Networks-"Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using"
--Here, The Option would be: ‘Cingular". It should be "My ISP"
=>Change it to "My ISP". Click OK
