SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You have Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 and Microsoft Office OneNote 2007 installed on the same computer. In Outlook 2003, you open a meeting. You then click Send To OneNote on the Standard menu bar to create a new OneNote 2007 page for notes about this meeting. You then exit OneNote.

When you right-click the meeting in Outlook 2003 to try to view the meeting notes in OneNote, the Meeting Notes shortcut menu option is unavailable.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the Meeting Notes shortcut menu option was added to Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. This option is unavailable in Outlook 2003.

  1. In Outlook 2003, double-click the meeting for which you want to view the OneNote 2007 meeting notes.
  2. Click Send To OneNote on the Standard menu bar to open OneNote 2007 and the meeting notes.
