SYMPTOMS

In a Microsoft Office Visio 2007 drawing, an incorrect row of data may be associated with a shape when you update data that is linked to the shape.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur if the following conditions are true:

  • A row of data has been added to the data source. Or, a row of data has been removed from the data source.
  • In the Configure Refresh dialog box, the Use the order of the rows to identify changes option is set for the unique identifier.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, click the Rows in my data are uniquely identified by the value(s) in the following columns option in the Configure Refresh dialog box.

For more information about the options for the unique identifier, click the Help button in the Configure Refresh dialog box.

To view the Configure Refresh dialog box, click Refresh Data on the Data menu. Then, click Configure in the Refresh Data dialog box.
