APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Windows CE .NET 4.2

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:

  • You use a local loopback connection to open a TCP connection on a Microsoft Windows CE .NET 4.2-based device. For example, you use IP address 127.0.0.1 to view a Web page that is stored on a Windows CE .NET 4.2-based device.
  • At the same time, you open an external TCP connection from a remote computer to the Microsoft Windows CE .NET 4.2-based device. For example, you view a Web page that is stored on the Windows CE .NET 4.2-based device by using the IP address of this device.

In this scenario, an exception may occur in the Tcpstk.dll process. When this exception occurs, you must reset the Windows CE .NET 4.2-based device to regain network access.
