SYMPTOMS

A computer that is running an x64-based version of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 may experience a Stop error in the Tcpip.sys file. When this problem occurs, you receive the following error message:

Stop 0x0000003B (c0000005, fffffadca82a63d4, fffffadca35fb4f0, 0)

CAUSE

This problem occurs when a race condition is present in the code. In this case, the code compilation process may change the sequence of instructions. Therefore, the computer stops responding.

RESOLUTION

Service pack information
