SYMPTOMS

On a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer, you print a Microsoft Office document that contains complex script, such as the SimSun-ExtB font. However, the complex script is printed as rectangle characters. This problem also occurs in Notepad.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the print operation incorrectly uses linked font instead of the base font.

RESOLUTION

Service pack information
