This article describes the Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 issues that are fixed in the Outlook 2003 post-Service Pack 2 hotfix package that is dated October 9, 2006.

List of issues that this hotfix package fixes
This hotfix package fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
- Consider the following scenario. The EmptyTrash policy is enabled on the computer. When you exit Outlook 2003, you are prompted to delete the items in the Deleted Items folder. You click No. Then, you restart Outlook 2003. The items in the Deleted Items folder are still in the folder as expected. Then, you click Send/Receive. In this scenario, the items in the Deleted Items folder are permanently deleted. This behavior is unexpected.
- You use the PT_UNSPECIFIED attribute in the GetProps() method to return a property type in a Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) macro in Outlook 2003. If you query a property of a user in the global address list (GAL), the GetProps() method does not return the property type.
