SYMPTOMS
After you apply the Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 hotfix that is described in Knowledge Base article 913706, an incorrect version of the Nrdhtml.dll file is installed. The pre-Service Pack 2 version (5.0.4526.0) is installed.
Note The correct version number for the Nrdhtml.dll file is 5.0.5054.0.

CAUSE
This problem occurs because the incorrect Nrdhtml.cab file is included in the hotfix that is described in Knowledge Base article 913706.
RESOLUTION
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next service pack that contains this hotfix.

You must install Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 Service Pack 2 before you apply this hotfix.
Restart requirement
You do not have to restart your computer after you apply this hotfix.

The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.

WORKAROUND
If you have an additional computer that is running Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 with Service Pack 2, you can check the version of the Nrdhtml.dll file. If the version of the Nrdhtml.dll file is 5.0.5054.0, you can copy the Nrdhtml.cab file to the computer that has the hotfix for Knowledge Base article 913706 installed.
To check the version of the Drhtml.dll file, follow these steps:
- On the computer that is running Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 with Service Pack 2, locate the following folder:
DriveLetter
:\Microsoft Content Management Server\Server\IIS_CMS\WebAuthor\Client\PlaceholderControlSupportDriveLetter
represents the letter of the hard disk where you installed Microsoft Content Management Server. - Double-click the Nrdhtml.cab file. The following three files are listed:
- Ncbmprdr.dll
- Drhtml.dll
- Nrdhtml.inf
- Right-click Nrdhtml.dll, and then click Extract.
- Select the location where you want to extract the file, and then click Extract.
- Locate the folder where you extracted the Nrdhtml.dll file in step 4.
- Right-click Nrdhtml.dll, and then click Properties.
- Click the Version tab.
- If the file version is 5.0.5054.0, you can copy the Nrdhtml.cab file to the computer that is experiencing the problem that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section. Copy the Nrdhtml.cab file to the following folder:

:\Microsoft Content Management Server\Server\IIS_CMS\WebAuthor\Client\PlaceholderControlSupport - If the file version is not 5.0.5054.0, do not copy the Nrdhtml.cab file to another computer.
- If the file version is 5.0.5054.0, you can copy the Nrdhtml.cab file to the computer that is experiencing the problem that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section. Copy the Nrdhtml.cab file to the following folder:
