INTRODUCTION
This article describes the Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated May 9, 2006.
Issues that the hotfix package fixes
This hotfix package fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
- Consider the following scenario. You create a security form in Outlook 2003 that blocks .txt file attachments in e-mail messages. You install the Outlook 2003 post-Service Pack 2 hotfix package (Emsmdb32.dll) that is dated December 19, 2005. After you install that hotfix package, .txt file attachments are now allowed in Outlook 2003.

- In Outlook 2003, when you drag an item to the file system, the envelope icon may be incorrectly displayed for the item. For example, you may experience this problem when you perform either of the following operations:
- You drag an .oft template file to a drive location in Microsoft Windows Explorer on a computer that has Outlook 2003 installed. In this example, you expect the Outlook icon to be displayed for the file in the folder. However, the envelope icon is displayed instead.
- You copy and paste an Outlook contact to a drive location in Microsoft Windows Explorer. In this example, you expect the contact icon to be displayed for the contact. However, the envelope icon is displayed instead.
