SYMPTOMS

When you try to log on to a terminal server that is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003, you receive the following Stop error message:

STOP 0x000000C2 0x00000007, 0x00001163, 0x42040001, 0x88990be8

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of a timing issue in the Win32k.sys file.

RESOLUTION

Service pack information
