SYMPTOMS

The Microsoft Windows Media Audio 9 Voice codecs leak trace amounts of memory during the encoding and decoding process.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because memory is not correctly freed.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2.
