Microsoft has released the Word 2002 post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package for Microsoft Word 2002. This article describes the following items about the hotfix package:

INTRODUCTION

This article describes the Word 2002 issues that are fixed in the Word 2002 post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package that is dated February 14, 2006.

Issues that the hotfix package fixes

The following issue is fixed in this hotfix package:

  • 915034 Changes do not appear with the formatting changes that you specified in Track Changes in Word 2002


This hotfix package also fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

  • You open a Word document in-place in Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you try to print the document programmatically by using the Printout method or the Dialogs(wdDialogFilePrint).Execute method, the document is not printed. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

    Microsoft Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

    When you view the data in the error report, the report contains an error signature that is similar to the following error signature:
