Error message when you run a report in the French version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0: "The conversion of a char data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range datetime value"

The hotfix that is discussed in this article is not available for the Chinese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or for the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

SYMPTOMS

When you run a report in the French version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, you receive the following error message:

The conversion of a char data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range datetime value.

CAUSE

This problem may occur when the version of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) that is used with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 is not the English version.

RESOLUTION
