SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Windows Server 2003, you run a program that uses the DNS Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) provider to update a property of a DNS class. Additionally, the property in question is a string array. For example, you update the Forwarders property of the MicrosoftDNS_Server class. In this scenario, the WMI provider host process, Wmiprvse.exe, stops unexpectedly. Additionally, event ID 1000 is logged in the Application log.
