Microsoft Dynamics CRM does not reflect Australian daylight saving time changes for the year 2006

Article ID: 913541

Article Last Modified on 2/2/2007

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0
  • Microsoft CRM 1.2

The hotfix that is discussed in this article is not available for the Chinese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or for the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

SYMPTOMS

The Commonwealth Games are scheduled to be held in March 2006 in Melbourne, Australia. Several Australian states have changed the daylight saving time transition end dates to the first Sunday of April 2006. These states include:

  • New South Wales
  • Victoria
  • Australian Capital Territory
  • South Australia
  • Tasmania

An update has been created for most of the current Microsoft Windows products. The update introduces a new time zone that can be used to adjust the daylight saving transition end date for 2006. For more information about the update for Microsoft Windows products, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

909915 Microsoft products do not reflect Australian daylight saving time changes for the year 2006

Microsoft Dynamics CRM does not take time zone information from the operating system. Therefore, Microsoft CRM will not reflect the new time zone that is created for Microsoft Windows when this update is applied.

RESOLUTION

This problem is fixed in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Update Rollup 1. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
