Error message when you try to create an order from a quote in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0: "The Microsoft CRM Server is unavailable"

The hotfix that is discussed in this article is not available for the Chinese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or for the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.


SYMPTOMS

When you try to create an order from a quote in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, the order is not created. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

The Microsoft CRM Server is unavailable.

There is a problem communicating with the Microsoft CRM Server. The server might be unavailable. Try again later. If the problem persists, contact you system administrator.

If you have the DevErrors parameter enabled, the following error is logged in the Web.config file:
