SYMPTOMS

A Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer uses the Simple Authentication and Security Layer (SASL) protocol for user authentication. However, the Local Security and Authentication Server (Lsass.exe) process experiences high memory usage during the user authentication process. Additionally, this condition may increase the server's response time to user authentication requests.
