SYMPTOMS

When you use Active Directory Sites and Services to view the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) servers that are authorized in a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 forest, the NetServices container displays IP addresses instead of the DHCP server names.

Note If the size of the DHCP server name is larger than 64 bytes, the IP address is used instead of the DHCP server name. This behavior is by design. This behavior is unrelated to the symptom described in this section.
