STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

MORE INFORMATION

You may receive the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section whenever the report server replies with an error. This problem is not the only reason that you may receive this error message. We recommend that you turn on client print logging and that you determine the cause of the problem by examining the log file. Additionally, you can examine the report server log files to isolate the problem.

To turn on client print logging, create the following registry subkey:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Reporting Services]

Under this registry subkey, create the LogRSClientPrintInfo DWORD-type registry entry. Then, set the DWORD value to 1.
