SYMPTOMS
On a computer that is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003, you remove all users from the Launch and Activation Permissions area in the Component Services (DCOMCONFG) tool. When you do this, the DCOM server settings revert from the customized settings to the default settings.
Note This problem only occurs on a computer that is running Windows Server 2003. This problem does not occur on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows 2000.

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2.
