Some of the audio control buttons are missing when you resize the Conversation dialog box to its minimum size in Communicator 2005

SYMPTOMS

When you resize the Conversation dialog box to its minimum size in the English version of Microsoft Office Communicator 2005, you experience the following symptoms:

  • The text in the Click to call button causes the other audio control buttons to shift to the right.
  • Some of the audio control buttons are missing from the Conversation dialog box.


CAUSE

This problem may occur if the following conditions are true:

  • You have the Multilingual User Interface Package for Communicator 2005 installed.
  • The language in Communicator 2005 is set to any one of the following languages:
    • French
    • German
    • Italian
    • Japanese


RESOLUTION

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

To open the Conversation dialog box, right-click a member in the Contacts list, point to Call, and then click Computer.

To change the language in Communicator 2005, follow these steps:

  1. On the Actions menu, click Options.
  2. Click the General tab.
  3. Under Language, click the language that you want in the Select the language for Communicator list. Then, click OK.
