SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario:
- You are using a computer that is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or Microsoft Windows XP.
- You install a Microsoft Windows Installer product on a non-system drive.
- You use quiet mode to install a hotfix.
In this scenario, the PrimaryVolumeSpaceRemaining property is not set. If you use a custom action that relies on the PrimaryVolumeSpaceRemaining property being set correctly, the custom action fails and causes the hotfix installation to fail.
