SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. In the Italian version of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 (SP1), you use the copy command or the move command at a command prompt. Then, a message asks whether you want to replace the file. In this scenario, you have to answer in English instead of in Italian.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the contents of the Ws03res.dll resource file are not correctly localized in the Italian version of Windows Server 2003 with SP1.

RESOLUTION

To apply this hotfix, you must have the Italian version of Windows Server 2003 with SP 1 installed.

Restart requirement

You must restart your computer after you apply this hotfix.

The Italian version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2.
