SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services, when you export a report to Microsoft Office Excel by selecting Excel as the export format, the rendering in Excel may unexpectedly contain margins.
If you examine the Report Definition Language (RDL) file, you notice that no margin elements exist.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, download and then install SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services Service Pack 2 (SP2).
