The user who last modified a price list item does not appear in the Last Modified By field in Microsoft CRM 1.2

Article ID: 896608

Article Last Modified on 9/8/2006

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Business Solutions CRM Sales, when used with:
    • Microsoft CRM 1.2
  • Microsoft CRM 1.2

SYMPTOMS

After you modify a price list item in Microsoft CRM 1.2, when you view the properties of that price list item, the user who last modified that price list item does not appear in the Last Modified By field. Instead, the name of the user who created the price list item appears in the Last Modified By field. When this problem occurs, the date that appears in the Last Modified On field is correctly updated to reflect the date when the price list item was last modified.

You expect the correct user to appear in the Last Modified By field when you view the properties of a modified price list item.

CAUSE

This problem occurs with Microsoft CRM 1.2 price list items that let you associate a product with that price list item. This problem also occurs with Microsoft CRM 1.2 products that let you associate another product with that product.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft CRM has a fix for this problem that is part of a cumulative update. The cumulative update information is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

904435 Update Rollup 2 is available for Microsoft CRM 1.2
