SYMPTOMS
On a computer that is running Microsoft Windows XP or Microsoft Windows 2000, a program that quickly opens multiple files over the network may experience longer delays between each file opening.
Additionally, after you install the 885835 hotfix, you experience a one-second delay between the server message block (SMB) close request for the file and another open request. Processing a flushed file after a cleanup operation starts causes a long delay in the redirector while files are opened and read.
