Error message when you implement a PreCreate callout event for an entity in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0: "Server was unable to read the request"

The hotfix that is discussed in this article is unavailable for the Chinese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or for the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

SYMPTOMS

When you implement a PreCreate callout event for an entity in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, you receive the following error message:

Server was unable to read the request.

This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:

  • An element is removed from the entityXml string.
  • You create an instance of the entity.


RESOLUTION
