SYMPTOMS

When you attach a file to a note in the Russian version of Microsoft Business Solutions CRM 1.2, you receive an error message that is similar to the following:

Problems with this web page might prevent it from being displayed properly or functioning properly.
In the future you can display this message by double clicking the warning icon displayed in the status bar.

Error: Undetermined string constant Code: 0 URL: http://CRMServer/notes/edit.aspx?id={99623D5F-E832-4322-9502-6DB7ABEA73B6}&pType=137.

Note In the Error section, the identification number (id) that is listed will be different in your Microsoft CRM environment. In the URL, CRMServer is the name of the server that is running Microsoft CRM.

RESOLUTION

Microsoft CRM has a fix for this problem that is part of a cumulative update. The cumulative update information is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

Steps to reproduce the problem

  1. Open the Russian version of Microsoft CRM 1.2 Web client.
  2. Double-click an account record to open it. Or, double-click any record that supports related notes.
  3. On the Actions menu, click Add Note.
  4. In the Title box, type a name.
  5. Click Browse to locate the file that you want to attach to the note, and then click Attach.
