SYMPTOMS

Users who are connected to a computer that is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Terminal Services may experience a screen redraw in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 or in Microsoft Office Outlook 2002. The screen redraw makes Outlook temporarily unresponsive.

This problem occurs if Time Zone Redirection is configured by using Group Policy on the computer that is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Terminal Services.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
This problem was first corrected in Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2.

MORE INFORMATION

This problem occurs whenever a client session is established to Windows Server 2003 Terminal Services. If only some users are connected to Windows Server 2003 Terminal Services, the users experience a flicker on the screen. However, if many user sessions are in progress, the users experience a slow redraw of the screen.
