SYMPTOMS
When you use Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, you can only access your mailboxes on the domain controller domain. You cannot access your mailboxes on the Microsoft Exchange server that is in the current forest domain. This problem occurs when all the following conditions are true:
- The Exchange server is in the Directory Service domain.
- The Exchange server points to a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based global catalog server.
- Mailbox access on the Exchange server is based on a trusted domain.
RESOLUTION

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
This bug was corrected in Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1.
