SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Windows Server 2003, the Backup program (Ntbackup.exe) may unexpectedly remove the archive bit information when you back up data to a .bkf file. Additionally, when you right-click the .bkf file, click Properties, and then click Advanced, the File is ready for archiving check box is not selected.
This problem occurs when the Verify data after backup completes check box is selected in Options dialog box in Backup.
