SYMPTOMS
DNS clients may not be able to access sites where the CNAME resource record for the site has been cached on a Windows Server 2003 DNS server.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the Windows Server 2003 DNS feature may not add CNAME resource records if they were previously cached and then expired. When the DNS feature does not add the CNAME resource record for a site, DNS clients cannot resolve the domain name address of the site.
RESOLUTION
