SYMPTOMS
After you configure SQL Mail on your instance of SQL Server 2000, when you run the xp_readmail extended stored procedure to read the e-mail messages from your Microsoft SQL Server mail Inbox, the Date Received column in the output incorrectly displays the date and the time that the e-mail message was submitted by the sender instead of the date and the time that the e-mail message was received. You may notice that the values in the Date Received column in the output of the xp_readmail extended stored procedure are different from the values in the Received column in the Inbox of a mail client such as Microsoft Outlook.
Note The Date Received column in the output corresponds to the @date_received parameter of the xp_readmail extended stored procedure.

- For a named instance of SQL Server 2000, use the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSSQLServer\<Instance Name>\MSSQLServer
Note The HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSSQLServer\<Instance Name>\MSSQLServer
