Publisher Err Msg: No PageWizards Found

Last reviewed: November 14, 1994
Article ID: Q86310

SUMMARY

The message "No PageWizards Found" in the Publisher startup box may indicate any of the following:

  • The MSPGWIZ.DLL has been deleted or is not present in the Windows directory.
  • The MSPUB.INI file has been deleted or is not present in the Windows directory.
  • The [PageWizard] section of the MSPUB.INI file has been deleted.

MORE INFORMATION

The above situations may occur if you have installed Windows version 3.1 into a different directory than Windows 3.0, and therefore the MSPGWIZ.DLL and MSPUB.INI files are not in the Windows 3.1 directory.

If you still have the Windows 3.0 directory, you can copy MSPGWIZ.DLL and MSPUB.INI to the new Windows 3.1 directory.

If you do not have the old Windows directory, you can do the following:

  1. Run the Publisher Setup program.
  2. Select the option for Custom Install.
  3. Select ONLY the program files for installation.
