SYMPTOMS
After you publish a report that contains one or more bookmark links in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services, the bookmark links may not work correctly. This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
- You export the report to the Web archive (.mhtml) file format.
- You render the report in the Web archive file format.
When you click a bookmark link to move to another area or to another page in the report that is rendered in the Web archive file format, the folder where the .mhtml file is stored may open in Windows Explorer.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
This problem was first corrected in SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services Service Pack 1.

Steps to reproduce the problem
- Start Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003.
- Create a new report project.
- Add a new report to the report project.
- Add a bookmark link to the report.
- Save the report as Report1.
- Publish the Report1report on your instance of Reporting Services.
- Export the report to the Web archive file format, and then save the report as Report1.mhtml in the C:\reports folder.
- Open the Report1.mhtml file.
- In the Report1 report, click the bookmark link.
Note The C:\reports folder is opened in Windows Explorer when you click the bookmark link.
