SYMPTOMS
When you use a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer to write data to a Windows Server 2003 file share that is connected over a fiber channel, the I/O transfer rate may be slower than expected.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if both of the following conditions are true:
- Data is written in sequential block writes of 64 kilobytes (KB) to a file share on a Windows Server 2003-based computer.
- The file share is located on a drive that is connected over a fiber channel.
RESOLUTION
