SYMPTOMS
After you perform an unattended installation of the Turkish version of Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Windows XP, or Microsoft Windows 2000 on a computer, when you start Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 on that computer, Office Outlook 2003 unexpectedly crashes.
CAUSE
This problem occurs if a user locale is not specified in the answer file. In this scenario, incorrect entries are set in the following registry subkey during the unattended installation:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International
The following registry entries are not set correctly:
- iCurrency
- iDate
- iNegCurr
- iTime
- iTLZero

WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, specify the locale in the answer file that you use for the unattended installation. To do this, follow these steps:
- Start Notepad, and then open the answer file that you want to modify.
- Locate the [RegionalSettings] section.
- Delete the text that is in the [RegionalSettings] section, but do not delete the [RegionalSettings] heading.
- Under the [RegionalSettings] heading, type the following line:
UserLocale=0000041f
- Save the answer file.
