SYMPTOMS

When you try to remove a program from your Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer while associated program components are still running, you may receive a message in a dialog box that displays an incomplete list of running programs, as in the following example:

The Setup Wizard has determined that the following programs are running. Please close them before continuing the installation of ProgramName.

When more than one associated program component is running, only one of the associated programs is listed in the dialog box. The one associated program that is listed may appear multiple times.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the function call to retrieve the title of the window that is related to the running program is not reinitialized correctly. Therefore, no call is made to obtain the window title for the next running process.
