SYMPTOMS

When you log off from a Terminal Services session that is running on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 computer, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following:

Windows cannot unload your registry class file. If you have a roaming profile, your settings are not replicated. Contact your administrator. DETAIL Access is denied. , Build number ((2195)).

CAUSE

This problem may occur if you have installed the MS03-026 security update, and Microsoft Windows Installer installs a program on the computer. The error message is caused by a registry handle leak in Windows Installer.

RESOLUTION
