SYMPTOMS

When you try to open a Microsoft Office 2003 document, workbook, or presentation, you may receive one of the following error messages:

The file filename is not available.

The file filename is unavailable.

User does not have access privileges.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if you have Norton Antivirus plug-in for Microsoft Office and the plug-in is damaged or is a version for an earlier version of Microsoft Office.
