SYMPTOMS
When a Microsoft Visual C# application creates multiple DataView objects on a single DataTable object, and when the Visual C# application sets the Filter property, the index object of DataTable becomes corrupted after many Dataview objects have been created.
The effect of this corruption is that the recordcount property on the index that is translated to the DataView object does not correctly represent the number of records that are requested by the Filter property.
RESOLUTION
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
