SYMPTOMS

When you use a Data Transformation Services (DTS) package, the key values that are read from an .ini file for the Dynamic Properties task may be truncated. This will cause the package to fail when the following conditions are met:

  • The DTS package uses the Dynamic Properties task control.
  • The Dynamic Properties task assigns external data or information to a package property from an initialization (.ini) file.
  • The .ini file is made up of many items (more than 255 characters) under one section.


RESOLUTION
