BUG #: 470397 (SQL Server 8.0)
Microsoft distributes SQL Server 2000 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2000 fix release.
SYMPTOMS
When you run a query on a SQL Server database, you may notice that the query performance is slow and is inconsistent. You may notice this behavior when all the following conditions are true:
- The query performs multiple reads on the memory pages.
- Another query that contains an IN operator with many values is compiled at the same time.
